By Seline Jung Synopsis: “Seoul Searching” is an ‘80s romantic teen comedy about a diverse group of Korean high schoolers from around the world coming together at a summer camp in Seoul in 1986 to learn what it means to be Korean, a side to them they know little about. The story focuses on three boys from the U.S., Mexico and Germany and the three girls they meet who change their lives forever.
For the last six months I have been on the team of an upcoming indie movie called “Seoul Searching.” I first started out as an awkward girl on the set shooting behind-the-scenes photo and video trying to capture candid moments while trying hard not to be creepy or intruding (there were several crew members who blatantly did not like what I was doing). And since August I’ve been working as a post-production assistant to the director. I have seen the film grow from production and all the drama on set to the editing process to test screenings to marketing and finally, the biggest stage yet: ACCEPTANCE INTO THE 2015 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL! WOOHOO!
