girl-ish
Whether you've got a date with your man, best friends, or your TV, we have your bases covered! By Christie Gleason I've always been of the mindset that Valentine's Day is a super fun little "holiday", regardless of your relationship status. I look at it as a day designated to shower your loved ones with some extra love, whether you whip up some brownies for your family or send your friends Law & Order: SVU Valentines. (Yes, they exist. Google it!)
Regardless of your plans this weekend, I've put together a few outfit options that work for any and all occasions! Check them out after the jump.

By Christie Gleason Hello, friends and fashion lovers! The last time we sat down to discuss my style influences, we focused on the Classic/Minimalist look. I love that style and find it to be the easiest to wear, but sometimes I want to look and feel like a feminine, girly, chiffon-wearing Princess. I mean, who doesn't have those days? There's just something about going into a store and finding something so delicate and beautifully made. I find myself continually drawn to flowing dresses covered in detailed lace and intricate beading. I love long dresses, fit and flares, sexy fitted numbers, and that vintage style that makes me feel like I'm straight out of the 50's. I love red dresses, pink ones, pastel ones, and all-white ones. I love the drama of a unique black dress and the classiness of the perfect Little Black Dress. I love simple day dresses and dramatic, outrageously-detailed dresses. I. Love. Dresses. I think I need a 12-step program. A "girly" style isn't just about dresses. It's about those little details and touches that make you feel feminine and beautiful. Whether it's unique pearl earrings and fluffy pink sweater (as seen below) or a lacy top paired with skinny jeans, there are so many different versions of this look. What I love could be completely different from another woman's idea of feminine. It's what makes you feel beautiful and not to sound too cheesy, makes you smile! Check out the pictures below to see my sources of inspiration for my favorite feminine looks. By Christie Gleason Some girls have it all figured out, at least when it comes to fashion. I always wonder about those girls- the ones that have perfected their "look" and somehow have a wardrobe that goes accordingly. Whether they're the masters of the "off duty model" look or are bohemian hippie chicks, I envy their streamlined wardrobes that just seem to scream, "Yep, I know myself and my style. Look at my closet full of things that perfectly represent ME!" Why am I jealous, you ask? Because my style is a hot damn mess. |
