By Christie Gleason Kiley and I are so excited to introduce a new fashion series today! There are so many fashionable women on TV, so Kiley and I decided to pick some of our favorites and create looks inspired by them- starting with Mindy Lahiri of The Mindy Project ! I have put together three different Mindy-inspired looks that will be posted over the next week, starting with today's, which was inspired by Mindy's love of mixing prints. Kiley and I shot these pictures in New York City, which seemed fitting, since it is where The Mindy Project takes place! Since this was my first foray into mixing prints, I decided to stick to neutrals of black and white. As seen above, Mindy is fearless when it comes to her fashion choices, which I think is so admirable. While Mindy mixed prints and colors in the photo above, I stuck with a black and white striped top and a black and white checkered skirt with black tights, over-the-knee boots, and handbag. Mindy almost always wears bold, bright statement earrings, so I chose these colorful ones from Glitter & Gold to brighten up my all-neutral outfit. Mindy Lahiri is one of my favorite characters of all time and it was so fun to dress like her for a few days! Mixing patterns didn't end up being nearly as weird as I thought it would be, though I did play it safe with my color choices. I'm so excited to share parts two and three of this series with you! Are any of you pattern-mixing geniuses? We'd love to hear feedback and see some pictures, so comment and link below! Top: Target
