By Christie Gleason Hello, friends! It's time for the second installment in our "Inspired By" series, where we create outfits inspired by some of our favorite TV characters. Today is my second Mindy Lahiri look, which is an ALL pink ensemble. Mindy loves to wear outfits consisting of various shades of one color, which she pulls off marvelously. I chose the color pink for this look, and while I was afraid I'd end up looking like a Pepto-Bismol bottle or a very hideous version of Elle Woods, Kiley and I were both pleasantly surprised by this outfit. Would I wear this in public? Probably not, but it wasn't nearly as bad as expected! One thing's for sure, I cannot pull this outfit off like Mindy would. This outfit was inspired by Mindy's all-pink look above. (Seriously, how cute does she look?!) I also wore my heart-shaped sunglasses as a nod to the red pair she donned in the season one episode "Santa Fe". So, what do you ladiez think? Are you more apt to try mixing patterns, as seen in the previous post, or are you willing to take a chance on rocking all one color? Let us know in the comments and check in again on Friday for my last Mindy-inspired look! I think you pull it off flawlessly! Remember how scared you were to put the whole outfit on, let alone GO OUTSIDE (lol), then I took the first photo and showed it to you and were were like... "um, that looks great?!"

I think this series is a perfect example of how we can surprise ourselves with fashion. I try outfits on all the time that I wouldn't wear in public because I'm not very fashion savvy. You look great Christie and I definitely think you should rock this look in public sometime because you look so put together. The blush of the trench coat really ties the whole look together. I think it's really cute that you were scared to put it on or even go outside because the outfit is stellar, in my opinion. More "inspired by" pieces, please!

Aw, thank you, Jesse! I agree that the blush coat pulls it together and softens the look a little bit. I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw the first pictures because I felt SO outrageous in all pink haha. Thank you so much! We have one more next week from Kiley and I'm already planning more outfits for more of these pieces. It was so fun to do! I'm glad you enjoyed. :)
