girl-ish
Featuring Kiley Shuffett Even though we've survived the most brutal cold we'll get this year, there's still a forecast for snow in NYC....on the first day of SPRING, no less. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago, and I'm in love with the all-white look. Forget traditional "rules" about white after Labor Day....I'm taking this look into Spring, and hopefully bringing some bright sunshine and warmer temps with me. This oatmeal bootie doesn't cut me off at the ankle, like a black or dark brown bootie would. It breaks the look up just enough that I stay balanced with the help of the two colors in the same family. This black faux-leather peplum jacket keeps me warm(ish) and adds a bit of edge.... pink nails 4EVA. To compliment my nails and finish off the look, I chose a bold (for me) lip color and added these adorable soft pastel earrings. The pastels tone down the leather jacket and berry-colored lips.
I could totally see a version of this look working for ANY time of the year...not just Winter and Spring. Now that I've harnessed the power of the chic, white, monochrome look/channeling my inner Olivia Pope, I can't stop won't stop. Labor Day, Schmabor Day. Follow my blog with Bloglovin
